Kindergarten School Curriculum—Bible
Overview:
- The goal of this My Bible First Curriculum is to help kindergarten or first-grade children learn to love the Bible and incorporate its principles into their lives.
- The curriculum is designed to be completed in one school year. Each year is divided into 104 lessons contained in four reading booklets:
- Booklets 1 and 2: Old Testament
- Booklets 3 and 4: New Testament
About the Bible lesson booklets:
- Each Bible lesson reading booklet contains a table of contents, a list of memory verses, and the Bible lessons and matching nature stories.
- Each Bible lesson is followed by a nature story that reinforces the Bible lesson. A memory verse goes with each pair of Bible and nature lessons, as well. So in the school year, the child will learn 52 memory verses.
- The lessons are designed to be easy to teach. Each Bible lesson includes one Bible verse to look up. The teacher should read this verse from the Bible unless the child is able to do so. Either way, the child can answer the question based on the verse just read.
